Woodturning 101 — Introduction to Woodturning
Learn the fastest growing craft activity in the USA. Class includes wood lathe operation, tools, safest turning techniques. Woodturning 201 — Basic Bowl Turning
The next step in woodturning is learning about new tools and techniques used to turn wooden bowls. Discussion will include information on good design and multiple techniques for mounting and turning. Woodturning 301- Advanced Green and Natural Edge Bowl Turning
This course continues basic woodturning instruction series and will build upon skills leaned in WT 201. In this class, students will turn both green and dry wood bowls; finished edge and natural edge. Students will focus on using the deep-fluted bowl gouge learning to "ride the bevel" achieving a beautiful smooth cut. Instruction will also include harvesting and preparing locally cut trees for bowl blanks. Textbook: A Lesson Plan for Woodturning sold in class $20. Prerequisite: Woodturning 201

Woodturning 401-Hollow Vessels*
This course is for wood turners who desire to continue to advance their turning skills. Students will learn hollowing techniques using Ellsworth style hollowing tools (provided) as well as the new carbide cutter technology. The instructor will demonstrate all the steps necessary for hollowing and finishing a vessel and then students will progress at their own pace. All wood and tools provided. Prerequisite:
