Woodturning 101 — Introduction to Woodturning
Learn about the fastest growing craft activity in the USA. Learn about wood lathe operation, tools, and safest turning techniques. Class includes extensive written materials, fun turning activities of increasing complexity and projects to take home. Skill Level: Beginning. Prerequisite: willingness to learn something new and fun. Textbook: A Lesson Plan for Woodturning, sold in class $20. No class 9/25. (7 weeks)

Woodturning 150 — Advanced Beginners Workshop*
More project-based training in the basic of woodturning, project will build skills while creating new and interesting items. Work on specific skills or tool usage. Projects are listed in the appendix A Lesson Plan for Woodturning. Textbook: A Lesson Plan for Woodturning sold in class $20. (6 weeks)

Woodturning 201 — Basic Bowl Turning
The next step in woodturning is learning about new tools and techniques used to turn wooden bowls. Discussion will include information on good design and multiple techniques for mounting and turning. Woodturning 320 — Coring 11” Bowls (Medium) * NEW!
Students will core a nested set of bowls from a single 11’ blank using the Oneway coring system. We will rough turn blanks from green wood and then proceed to core 2 bowls from the inside. Prerequisite: Woodturning 201 and 301. (3 weeks)

Sharpening Lathe Tools
Learn to set up a sharpening system, discover sharpening techniques and sharpen your own woodturning tools. Students are encouraged to bring their own tools and sharpening systems to evaluate and use in each session. Also covering hand sharpening techniques. No class 10/29.
