Woodturning 101 — Introduction to Woodturning
Learn about the fastest growing craft activity in the USA. Learn about wood lathe operation, tools, and safest turning techniques. Class includes extensive written materials, fun turning activities of increasing complexity and projects to take home. Skill Level: Beginning. Woodturning 150 — Advanced Beginners Spindle Workshop NEW!
More project-based training in the basic of woodturning, project will build skills while creating new interesting items. Work on specific skills or tool usage. Woodturning 201 —Basic Bowl Turning
The next step in woodturning is learning about new tools and techniques used to turn wooden bowls. Discussion will include information on good design and multiple techniques for mounting and turning. An in-depth class focusing on turning natural edge bowls. The class will start with the basics of how to turn a natural edge bowl and proceed through a series of projects designed to experience the relationship between dimension and shape. Woodturning — Advanced Spindle Work and Bottle Stoppers NEW!
Hone your spindle turning skills in this one day focused workshop using the spindle roughing gouge, spindle gouge, parting tool and skew. These are times for independent work – and are a staple of our turning program. Come and work with expert coaches. Our vast selection of tools and accessories will allow you to undertake most project opportunities. Pay for only the session you attend.
